Green industries

The green industries have increasingly come into focus and “degree of self-sufficiency” has become an often-used term. Gislaved Municipality is self-sufficient in terms of meat and milk but not in other food produce. One possibility for increasing profitability on farms is to refine the products before they’re sold on.
We want to be a natural hub for green industries. Through co-operation with other organisations, we want to help develop new partnerships and projects, and encourage more entrepreneurs to take the step from having a hobby to owning a business.
To achieve our goals, we co-operate with local and regional players. Our key local co-operation partners are Stora Segerstad naturbrukscentrum and LRF Municipal Group. An example of a county-wide partnership is the Farm Tour (Gårdsrundan), which started in 2021 and takes place in September each year.
