Social innovation for regional development

The SIRU project creates an infrastructure for social innovation and social entrepreneurship initiatives. The project is based on social challenges rather than industry and therefore increases the opportunity for new innovations and includes more people in innovation processes.

The project has four milestones:

• To increase knowledge of social innovation
• To create cross-sectoral collaboration to solve social challenges
• To create a context for social innovation and social entrepreneurship initiatives
• To raise awareness of social sustainability

The project is aimed at all sectors. The primary target group is small and medium-sized companies.
