The town is surrounded by beautiful, rolling forest landscape and is close to the Lake Fegen conservation area. Burseryd’s Bruk (cold rolled steel products) is an important employer that has been in the town since 1910.<\/p>\n

Housing<\/h2>\n

Burseryd has a number of residential areas, rental apartments and vacant building lots for people wishing to build their own homes.<\/p>\n

Leisure<\/h2>\n

The BIF Hall sports centre is a popular meeting place in Burseryd. Almost any sporting activity can be pursued, be it athletics, football, boules or agility.<\/p>\n

In addition to sports activities, Tyngelvi Sports Hall is also used by the Burseryd Variety Club when they hold performances. There is also a football field, illuminated jogging trail and a tennis court close by.<\/p>\n

The library attracts readers of different ages, and school facilities are also used for children’s gymnastics.<\/p>\n

Lake Tyngeln is renowned for its great tench population. Don’t forget your fishing permit if you go fishing. There is a hiking trail around the lake that starts from the shelter on the illuminated jogging trail.<\/p>\n

Schools<\/h2>\n

Burseryd has a preschool for children in the ages 1 to 5 and a primary school.<\/p>\n

Communications<\/h2>\n

There are bus connections to other parts of Gislaved\u00a0municipality and the surrounding municipalities.<\/p>\n

Tourism<\/h2>\n

The V\u00e4stbo bicycle race attracts many participants every year. The sculpture in the town square depicting three cyclists riding along a kerb is further evidence of the popularity of cycling in Burseryd.<\/p>\n

The local history museum includes the Vickelsbo cottage, a high-loft cabin dating back to the 17th century. It was re-sited from Vickelsbo village in the 1940s.<\/p>\n

Skivebo mill is largely restored and has a well-preserved interior. The mill is powered by water from Yxa Beck.<\/p>\n

Fegen<\/h2>\n

Burseryd is close to the Fegen conservation area and Lake Fegen with its rich bird and animal life and excellent opportunities for outdoor activities such as canoeing, hiking, fishing and birdwatching. The beautiful Sandvik church on the banks of the lake is popular for weddings and makes an interesting day-trip destination. There are several beechwood forests between Burseryd and Sandvik. They are especially beautiful when the trees are leafing in the spring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
